Guided Tours of The Castle

Take a trip through 400 years of history with a guided tour of The Castle. Tours last about 45 minutes and are usually held on Sundays at 2pm in the offseason. Learn about the Townesend family, admire the original art collections, and explore every nook and cranny, including the Front Hall, Dining Room, Office, Library, stairs and bedrooms. You’ll also enjoy special access to the Drawing Room as part of the tour.

Group Bookings: 

  • Minimum of 10 people
  • €8 per person
  • Must be booked in advance

Village Tours:

  • Include The Castle, Drishane House, and St. Barrahane’s Church.
  • Held in September as part of the Taste of West Cork Food Festival.
  • Must be booked in advance.
